Pathways to Impact was designed to help researchers adopt an entrepreneurial mindset and think about impact beyond the laboratory.

Learning Objectives

Workshop participants will:

  • Demystify idea generation by learning to think like a designer (research, ideation, quick prototyping, and testing)
  • Get a boost of creative confidence
  • Assess the competitive landscape for their idea (all design is re-design)
  • Start building an idea network
  • Leave with an action plan for next steps in idea exploration

Workshop Audience:

The audience for this workshop includes but is not limited to junior faculty, postdocs, and Ph.D. students.

Workshop Format:
90-minute in-person hands-on workshop at UW Discovery to Product (D2P), 1403 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53715
